The “victim” is diagnosed
as having a “developmental disorder”,
and the parents are told
their child has “impaired functioning”.
Words fill the air:
“delayed”, “abnormal”, “peculiar”.
They only hope therapy or drugs
can make their child with this “condition”
“Normal”.
