At the far end
they sit quietly in pairs
seriously discussing ideas,
then content,
they say their good-byes
and return to their home.
Bunched together,
another group enthusiastically share experiences
gaining energy as the evening progresses.
and enjoying their togetherness.
How long did they stay?
I wouldn’t know.
I was at home.
