Building

Looking back,
we count our trials,
admitting,
cemented by faith and love,
they have built
our relationship.

Looking forward,
we see our children,

young couples now,
struggling with
difficult pregnancies,
working and completing school,
recovering from injuries,
raising children,
buying homes,
and searching for jobs.

With calm assurance
we watch the
building process repeat,
Knowing from stresses
will emerge strength,
and from needing the Lord
and each other,
eternal relationships
are built.
