When will I ever learn?
Ever  assuming
that everyone is as I am,
driven by a longing for perfection,
I try to improve a world
that contentedly insists
on remaining unchanged,
til disillusioned,
I collapse in exhaustion;

called Earth,
with short term
consequences
and limited
power,
We try on Godhood.

Showing by our
thoughts and acts
if we are capable of
learning more
and responsible enough
to someday be entrusted
with the limitless
power of Godhood.

Crashing into obstacles
Falling over cliffs
Bruised and shaken
The Lord
guides me to understand
the principles
of life

Accelerated Course

I thought I was
trapped in a remedial track;
doomed to endlessly repeat
basic lessons.

Surprised, I glanced around
to discover
I have been on
the accelerated course
all along.
