Leading

Will I choose to lead the way
back  to our heavenly home,
or will I follow others
aimless ramblings?

Will I set a righteous example
as I strive to follow the Lord,
or will I simply demonstrate
mindless obedience?

Will I soar through the clouds,
or become lost caring for things?

Will I bury my talents,
 or share them?

Which do I choose?
Fulfillment or suppression?
The choice is mine.

When Will I Be Happy?

I will be happy when:
I get through school
When I fall in love
When I get married
When I have a baby
When our relationship is better
When I have more children
When I have my own home
When it is paid for

Wayward Child

My heart aches for you
as I watch you
learn from your own experience
that wickedness never was happiness.

Feeling you suffer
the consequences of your acts,
I long to comfort you
but I cannot,
for in your quest for freedom
you have willfully stepped
off the only path
that could have brought
you happiness.

Only Two Choices

Hope or Despair
Faith or Fear
Love or Selfishness
Humility or Pride
Trust or Obstinance
Growth or Withering
Serving or Taking
Giving or Hoarding
Building or Destroying
Encouraging or Criticizing
Freedom or Slavery

There are only two choices
Life or Death

Frustration or FulFillment

Longing for close family relationships

Seeking understanding and acceptance

Needing to improve the world

Hoping to do meaningful service

Feeling ideals and goals thwarted

Frustration slowly drained my energy

and destroyed my health

Accepting others responsibility

for their own lives

Enjoying and nurturing

all the positive relationships I do have

Accepting who I am

and sharing my talents

Influencing others for good

Enjoying being out in the world

Fulfillment energized my soul

and filled my life with contentment
